Christopher Horton

As an Entrepreneur, Innovator, and Executive, Horton spent the last 30 years of his working career delivering significant growth on both the top and bottom line while driving exponential gains in company value for the organizations he worked with. Horton entered the Graphic Services space by founding Advance Printing Products, Inc. (APP) in 1988. With no previous business, industry, client, or technology expertise and a small

investment, Horton and a partner grew thebusiness value to several million dollars before merging the company with Southern Graphic Systems, Inc. in early 2001. APP was an innovator in many areas and marketed and sold several workflow systems still in use today. APP was perhaps the first to provide a turnkey, supplier-managed, Flexo plate shop within a printer’s location.

With SGS, Horton was instrumental in the company’s growth into a Global Graphic Services powerhouse. Significantly expanding SGS’s Flexo production capability and extending its reach across all package printing substrates, SGS’s Flexo production volume grew to be one of the largest in the world. Horton retired from SGS in early 2016 and remains involved in the Graphic Services industry providing consultations and advice. Horton enjoys working with business owners to help them improve efficiency and maximize their business value. His mission is to help business owners navigate a successful exit strategy where all parties benefit. Horton earned a BS degree from Clemson University and is married with two adult children.
